Khao Sok : Tree House & Lake Hopper

FYI : Khao Sok Lake, Cheow Lan Lake and Rajjaprabha Lake are the same lake.

 

The soft-adventure tour allows you to discover the Khao Sok National Park in its fullest beauty: on land and around the lake. Board a canoe, paddled by local crews, peacefully downstream the "Sok River", and enjoy sighting towering limestone mountains and lush rainforest on both sides of the river. Sleep on the famous tree house, a natural theme resort. Next day go for a swim in "Nam Rad Watershed" a crystal clear creek. Take a boat trip to "Cheow Lan Lake", and check in at one of the beautiful float houses. Enjoy a boat trip to see the beautiful landscape of the sunset, some of the wildlife can be seen. Next day we go for jungle trekking and cave visiting. Spend the rest of the day just relaxing, swimming, or kayaking on your own to explore the area

Brief Itinerary

​

Day 1
There are two options for the first day's morning activities;

 

A) With elephant activities.

Pick up from your hotel in Khao Lak, and head north to Khao Sok National Park. Arrive at the ethical elephant camp. Get the great elephant experience by joining the elephant-friendly Care Program. We offer "No Riding", learn about elephants, make healthy food for them, do a mud-spa, and brush them in a river. Feed those gentle giants with some special treats. Make a stop at the Panturat Cave to see wild monkeys. Enjoy delicious communal Thai lunch.

B) Without elephant activities.

For those who do not want to involve in the elephant activities.

Pick up from your hotel in Khao Lak, and head north to Khao Sok National Park. Arrive at the national park headquarters. Set off jungle walking along the trail. Our guide will help you get acquainted with flora & fauna. Walk up to the stream where you can swim in crystal clear water, surrounded by lush rainforest. On this trail, you can expect to see wild monkeys, langurs, and some reptiles. Enjoy the sound of the jungle before walking back. Have delicious Thai lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon

After lunch, we set off for canoeing down the Sok River (Optional : bamboo rafting), paddled by local professional rowers, who will show you the beautiful scenery of the river. Sok River is one of the best spots to view picturesque limestone mountains, birdlife, and some reptiles. Halfway through a journey by canoe, we will make a stopover at a riverbank for boiling water over an open fire for jungle coffee served in a bamboo cup. Go ahead canoeing further down the river. Get picked up by our driver. Check in to the Tree House (private room), a nature theme styled resort. Enjoy dinner and sleep in the tree house surrounded by nothing but the sound of nature.

Day 2

Wake up to the morning call of the gibbons in the jungle canopy and get breakfast before getting picked up and heading to Takhun District.

​

Arrive at the Nam Rad Watershed, a unique watershed forest where you can swim in a crystal-clear creek and soak up the greenery. 

 

Arrive at "Cheow Lan Lake" and take a boat trip to see its highlights. Arrive at the lake's iconic spot "Three-brother Pillar" to capture some pictures, or even take a swim right off the boat. Have lunch at the raft house and check in to your private floating bungalows (with private restroom) with a breathtaking view of the lake.

In the late afternoon, board a boat for sighting the landscape under the sunset and get a chance to see animals foraging. Our guide and boatman will help you to spot them. Enjoy the sunset moment in nature. Back to the raft house for dinner and spend the night under the stars and enjoy the sound of nature in this truly unique place.

Day 3

You can wake up early to enjoy a cup of coffee, relax, or take a kayak ride to witness the breathtaking morning scenery as the sun rises behind the mountain peaks over the jungle. After that, you can head back to the raft house for breakfast and check-out.

​

Next, you'll take a boat ride to the jungle trail where you'll embark on a 2-2.5 km easy jungle walk with the guidance of our expert guide. Our guide will help you get to know the flora and fauna along the way. You will also explore the cave with beautiful stalagmites and stalactites.

​

After the jungle walk, you'll get back to the pier and enjoy a delicious Thai lunch at a local restaurant. Before returning to Khao Lak, you'll make a quick stop to capture the panoramic view of the Khao Sok viewpoint.

​

At approximately 3:00 pm, you will arrive back at your resort in Khao Lak.
